Cool cartoon villain number 86 in my gallery is ruler of Warworld, Mongul from DC's great Justice League cartoon! Justice League/Unlimited ran for 91 episodes from 2001 to 2006, check the comments for the show's intro. Great bad guy! He always struck me as DC's answer to Thanos what with his army of aliens from all over the place and the traveling War World ship he used to cruise around in. Probably his greatest moment in the comics was in Superman Annual 11 in the story "For the Man who has Everything..." They adapted it into Justice League Unlimited season 3 episode 2 which was awesome but the comic was just way more dramatic to me.

You really captured the animated series look of him and the sadistic glee he always had on his face

the comic was definitely the best version of that story, although the JL version was ok. They butchered Mongul out of the story to use on Supergirl which sucked.

Yeah I mean you can't beat the moment when Superman says "burn." and all hell breaks loose from the comic.

It was good. I mean it could have been done better or stayed more faithful to the comic and Robin there which I would have liked.

I haven't actually caught Supergirl. I usually wait for those shows to come on DVD so I can watch them all at once with no commercials. I've heard mixed things about it but I'm willing to give it a try since it's going to tie into the WB Flash, Arrow and Legends shows.

Supergirl is 70% awesome superhero stuff, and 30% high school crush level relationship drama. I'm hoping that crap goes away even more when the shows integrate. I mean Flash has improved the hell out of Arrow.

I think they do it like that as a way to attract girls to the show. Still I think once it becomes part of the WB it will improve. I think my only issue with DC is they don't meld their TV and Movie universes together. It just makes it a disjointed mess to me. Like they already have the Suicide Squad on Arrow so I don't get why they didn't just put them in the movie with the other characters put in Suicide Squad just for the film and make it one big universe.

DC's movie decisions are so bad the only way to fix it is DC's specialty the reboot and start over. The Flash is the key to bringing Supergirl to the same world, it could be used to jumpstart a new set of movies too. But they won't do it. I'm just avoiding those movies [except possibly Suicide Squad], and enjoying the well done other stuff they make.

Honestly they just need to stop with the reboots entirely and just move on from the same rut they keep throwing themselves into. Like we all know Batman and Superman's origins so we don't need that again. All they need to do is mine the comics for the best stories adapt them faithfully and start using other villains besides the same arch nemesis every single time.

Like for my money I want to see Superman go up against Bizarro, Braniac, Parasite, Atomic Skull, Silver Banshee or Doomsday. I love Lex Luthor and General Zod but they need to stop throwing them at us as the main bad guys with every single movie.

Same with Batman. They keep throwing the Joker in our faces and fucking up every other bad guy by either under using them, killing them off or just casting the wrong people as them or portraying them horribly.

Suicide Squad looks good but honestly with Will Smith involved I'm preparing for the worst. Unless it's Men in Black or Independence Day he never seems to hit the mark super hero/sci fi wise.

I'll say.  Seems like I saw someplace that he got a Lantern ring and commanded it to tell him everything.  "This command will take 62 thousand hours ... ," the ring said.  "I have time" was Mongul's response.
