Cartoon Villain #19 is Cobra Commander from the classic 80's cartoon G.I. Joe! The series ran from 1983 to the 1987 animated movie where we last see Cobra Commander turn into a snake and slither off into the bushes. Here's the intro for this great series Check out the b/w digital inks here Stay tuned for more cartoon bad guys soon...

Here are some other cool villains in my Cartoon Villains series:

Wow just wow, this is an amazing pic portraying one of the 80s best villains. Back then you couldn't top Cobra when it came to world domination. The cape gives him a regal bearing and plus capes are just plain cool. I remember this scene very well it's where Serpentor puts CC on trial for his 'incompetence' The colors are very bright and vivid and the red of the cape and the gold of the pins securing it stand out wonderfully. This series of pics brings to mind some of my favorite shows and hope one day you might think of including Hordak in you series. Excellent and outstanding work my fiend. Hail Oobra

First of all I love that you're bringing back old villains. This isn't my favorite villain, but of all of them, this one stood out as the best composed. The background created doesn't compete with the character, as it does in some of your other pieces. He stands out as the focus, making this one very well composed. The color scheme works well, and his pose creates nice negative space. For a little more impact, I'd try to increase the contrast in the foreground and decrease it in the background. This will keep the eye of the viewer on the subject of your art. Right now, my eye seems to wander through some of you other pieces looking for a place to rest on. This piece doesn't have that issue and is stronger because of that. A little tweaking on some of your other pieces to make them more like this one will make them a lot stronger. Overall though, I like what you've been up to. Keep up to good work!!
